For two years, we have received a lot of information about our friends facing one kind of suffering or another. In these two years, I lost several friends myself to COVID-19. I am certainly not alone, for many of us too have lost friends or family members. We struggle, we pray, and we cry out to God. Where is God in all these sufferings? Such questions have been asked by men and women from all cultures across generations. Where is God in human sufferings? Does He understand our sufferings? Does He care enough? And, is He powerful enough to intervene? |
